In the event of an emergency
HUPD and Cambridge Police are searching for a suspect in a shooting near the Radcliffe Quad.
- Harvard Alert: Cambridge Police has communicated that there is no ongoing public safety risk at this time. The shelter in place is lifted. Please continue to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the HUPD at 617-495-1212.
- Harvard Alert: CPD has confirmed that ballistic evidence has been recovered, and there are no known victims of this shooting at this time.
- Harvard Alert: CPD and HUPD are still searching for the suspect. The shooting occurred near the Radcliffe Quad. The suspect could be heading toward Harvard Square.
- Harvard Alert: CPD and HUPD continue to search for the suspect on the bicycle. Avoid the Quad area and continue to shelter in place. If you are inside a building, stay there.
- Harvard Alert: Cambridge Police are reporting that an unidentified male on a bicycle just shot at another person on Sherman Street. The suspect is on a bicycle heading toward Garden Street. Please avoid the area and shelter in place.
